Oldknow are celebrating the World Cup 2010 with some  tailored work around the World Cup on Friday afternoon after a hard week of assessments!

Also if you have a football shirt that you want to bring in  on Friday you can bring it in to put on for the whole afternoon!

Use this Post to make your Football World Cup comments!!

So what do you know about the World Cup? Amaze and show off your football knowledge here. Do you know the teams who are playing, what are the team colours, who is your favourite player going to be at the event?

Summer is approaching and I thought I would start a post about water and what you need it for.

Everyone in school should have a water bottle, do you know who is your water bottle monitor?

There is a bottle rack outside the changing rooms for you to store your water bottle during PE so that you can have a drink straight after PE.

Does your class bring their water bottles to PE? If your class does not think about why that might be…

Can anyone tell me why we need to make sure we drink enough water?

 Please compete the poll below:

The purpose of this post is to make you start thinking like a sports reporter and tell everyone what you have seen, sharing your views, opinions and facts with others!

Use the plan below to help write your sports report, remember to use complete sentences and think about connectives and keeping it interesting!

  • What sport is it?
  • When and where did the event take place?
  • Who are playing?
  • Who were the key players?
  • What happened?
  • Your opinions and quotes of others
  • Results?

Most importantly do not forget to sign off with your ‘by-line’ and class so that we know who wrote the sports report.  A few ideas of events to report on this weekend -

BangladeshvEngland test cricket

TottenhamvBlackburn Premier league football

Rugby Union

X-country athletics

Indian Wells Masters Tennis

Have fun with your sports writing and try to be factual.  If you have been to watch or play something this weekend you might like to report on that too. I look forward to reading and approving your sports journalism!
